BikeMaine 2013 Rider Handbook

Your complete resource for the ride is on-line

What’s the weather going to be like … how should I pack? Will I be able to charge my phone? What are my food options? Where is check-in and what can I expect at each host community? How can I make the most of my day-off in Bar Harbor? What’s the elevation gain like and does it vary dramatically day-to-day? Rest stops? Bike repair? Sign-ups?

You’ve got a lot of questions … and you’ll find the answers in the BikeMaine 2013 Rider Handbook. Details covering transportation, logistics, luggage limitations, route maps, host community descriptions, entertainment and so much more are available to assist with your preparations.

You are encouraged to read the entire Handbook … attention to the details will ease your planning and elevate your experience. Information is organized under four large headings, each with several important and descriptive subheadings:

  • Ride Preparations
  • Ride Amenities
  • The Ride
  • Miscellaneous

Every effort has been made to address your needs but, if your perusal of the Handbook surfaces unanswered questions, we want to hear from you.  So, we’ve established a blog-like interface that makes it possible to dialogue with BikeMaine and other riders. Here’s how it works.

To surface a question, share a tip, or pass along a comment, call, email, or initiate a conversation at the BikeMaine Rider Board. The more questions you surface, the better informed and prepared we’ll all be. Thanks for your help!
