NORWAY, Maine (NEWS CENTER) – Riders are shaking off any aches they acquired in the first day of BikeMaine as they get ready for day two.The route for day one began in Westbrook on Sunday and ended for the night in Norway. NEWS CENTER’s Kelsey Fabian greeted riders as they woke up the next morning to find out how they were holding up.
Their journey will continue with stops in Winthrop, Gardiner, Boothbay Harbor and Bath before finally returning to Westbrook. The full circuit will extend about 350 miles.
The Bicycle Coalition of Maine organized the ride to promote bicycle tourism and showcase the host communities. More than 275 riders are making the trek.
